KU welcomed representatives from Thuyloi University (TLU), Vietnam

          On 22 October 2024, in Meeting Room 10, 10^th floor, the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheema Soralump, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Sustainable Development; and IAD representatives welcomed representatives from Thuyloi University (TLU), Vietnam, led by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet, Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Mai Dang, Dean of School of International Education; and Miss Sivaporn Nuanta on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.

          TLU is a public university under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and is recognized as the leading university in water resources. Founded in 1959 under the original name "Academy of Water Resources and Electricity," it was renamed TLU in 2013. The purpose of this visit is to explore the capacities in education, research, technology, and community service, particularly in the areas of strength at both universities, and to seek cooperation opportunities in training, science and technology, as well as in the exchange of lecturers and students, among other areas.

          After Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad welcomed the delegation from TLU, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet gave an overview of TLU, mentioning that on the 16^th of November 2024, TLU will be celebrating its 65^th anniversary. He invited the President of KU and the KU administrators to attend the celebration in Hanoi. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheema Soralump proposed a short trip for KU students to visit TLU and study the Vietnamese language. Before concluding the discussion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad added that KU is happy to promote any programs in which TLU students can participate.
