Indiana University is a large research university in the United States, founded in 1820 in Bloomington, Indiana. The main campus, Indiana University Bloomington (IUB), is the oldest and largest campus in the Indiana University system. IUB is renowned for its world-class research, particularly in the fields of science, technology, humanities, social sciences, and business. It also has several specialized schools and colleges, such as the Kelley School of Business, Jacobs School of Music, and the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, which have international recognition. Indiana University has a network of campuses throughout Indiana and is internationally recognized as a high-quality educational institution playing a significant role in research, innovation, and social development. Currently, there are approximately 5,000 international students, including around 30-40 students from Thailand.

The purpose of this visit was to discuss the possibility of establishing academic collaboration, particularly with the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Humanities, with relevant faculty members participating in the meeting. The meeting focused on opportunities for further study at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) especially at the doctoral (PhD) or postdoctoral (Postdoc) levels, such as the Second Language Studies program in the Faculty of Education, where IUB offers 8 departments to choose from, as well as various programs in the humanities. Additionally, the meeting discussed support for applications for study, including government scholarships or university scholarships, partial scholarships in specific fields, such as music, internships, and teaching training. Both parties will continue to coordinate to develop concrete collaboration, possibly starting with a preliminary agreement (MOI: Memorandum of Intention).

Afterward, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, presented souvenirs to the delegation from Indiana University, United States, and a commemorative photo was taken together.
