KU Signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

          Kasetsart University , led by Acting President Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, conducted an official visit to Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in Suzhou, People’s Republic of China, on October 23, 2024. During this visit, the two institutions formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the goal of advancing student exchange and fostering academic collaboration, thereby enhancing educational and cultural exchange.

          This partnership emphasizes reciprocal student exchanges, with XJTLU sending undergraduate students to study at KU and KU reciprocating by sending undergraduate and postgraduate students to XJTLU. The agreement provides a one-to-one academic exchange framework, accommodating up to two students for a full academic year or four students for a single semester annually. Exchange students under this program will be exempt from application and tuition fees at the host institution and will retain their enrollment status at their home university. Transfer of academic credits will be determined by the student’s home institution.

          Additionally, cultural exchange activities, such as musical performances, will be organized to enable students from both institutions to broaden their academic and cultural perspectives in a unique cross-cultural environment. This agreement signifies a key advancement toward strengthening sustainable academic relations between KU and XJTLU and further expands opportunities for ongoing international cooperation.
